11 DAY SPECIAL OPD FOR WOMEN BEGINS AT JAN SEWA HOSPITAL

Under the Central Government's ‘Swasth Nari, Sashakt Parivar’ campaign, an 11-day special OPD for girls, women, and young women has started at Dr. S.S. Tantia Medical College, Hospital & Research Centre (Jan Sewa Hospital).

Head of the Gynaecology Department, Dr. Shelly Mago, informed that the OPD is part of the hospital’s community participation initiative, organized in celebration of Sharadiya Navratri, and will run from September 22 to October 2 in Room No. 5 of the hospital. During this period, free pre-checkups, CBC, RBS, and urine tests will be provided.

Specialist doctors are available throughout the camp, and on Wednesday, a large number of women, girls, and young women took advantage of the health check-up services. The campaign was inaugurated by Obstetricians & Gynaecologists Dr. Nidhi Singhal and Dr. Soumya Mittal. Present at the event were Chief Administrator Prof. Baljeet Kularia, Medical Superintendent Dr. H.S. Bindra, Manager Ved Chaudhary, Marketing Head Bharat Chaudhary, HR Nisha Joshi, Dr. Poorvi, Dr. Harsh Sharma, Dietitian Alka, and a counselor, all of whom provided important information on women’s nutrition and health. The special OPD services are available daily from 9:00 AM to 4:00 PM.

As part of the campaign, health awareness lectures are also being organized every alternate day in rural areas. On Tuesday, one such session was conducted at the school in Chak 3CC, where Junior Resident Dr. Manisha, Quality Executive Ms. Sunaina Naomi Gill, and Dietitian Sakshi guided girls on topics like balanced diet, hygiene, menstrual health, breast cancer awareness, and self-examination techniques.
