GLOBAL HANDWASH DAY CELEBRATED AT JAN SEWA HOSPITAL

Global Handwash Day was celebrated at Dr. S.S. Tantia Medical College Hospital and Research Centre (Jan Sewa Hospital) on October 16, 2025. The event aimed to raise awareness among clinical health workers about the importance of handwashing and hygiene. Various counters were set up in the hospital’s seminar hall to educate staff on hand hygiene practices and the correct steps of handwashing.
Dr. Mohit Tantia, Vice Chairperson of Tantia University, praised the hospital staff for their dedication to hygiene standards and their commitment to maintaining cleanliness. He highlighted the progress of the Tantia Group and appreciated the staff’s efforts in organizing the event beyond their regular duties.
Dr. Charu Nayyar, Microbiology Consultant from the Pathology Department, credited the event’s success to the teamwork and coordination of the hospital staff.
The program also saw participation from senior hospital officials including Medical Superintendent Dr. H.S. Bindra, Assistant Superintendent Dr. Shashi Sharma, Dean Dr. Vijay K. Sehgal, and Manager Vedprakash Chaudhary, along with doctors, nurses, and paramedical staff. Winners of the poster and model-making competitions held during the event were also honored.
