TANTIA MEDICAL COLLEGE ORGANIZED HEALTH CHECK-UP CAMP

Under the aegis of the Department of Community Medicine at Dr. S.S. Tantia Medical College, Hospital and Research Centre, a health check-up camp was organized at an old age home run by Mahaveer International. The purpose of the event was to address the healthcare needs of the residents of the old age home. During the camp, the residents had their blood pressure and blood sugar levels checked. In addition, a team of doctors interacted with the elderly residents. During this counseling session, discussions were held on the management and prevention of chronic illnesses such as hypertension and diabetes. The residents were encouraged to maintain a healthy diet and adopt a safe and comfortable lifestyle. Both the residents and the staff of the old age home actively supported the event. Dr. Manohar Lal Sharma, Head of the Department of Community Medicine, stated that such activities are an essential part of the medical curriculum. They help future doctors become more aware of the issues faced by the elderly. The camp was conducted under the supervision of Dr. Vinay Godara and Dr. Kunal, with the participation of 20 MBBS students.
